Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to use his address to the United Nations this week to defend Israel’s military campaign against Palestinians, as international criticism of the war continues to intensify.

Netanyahu is also escalating his confrontation with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who has publicly accused the Israeli prime minister of being a war criminal and described Israel’s actions in Gaza as a genocide of the Palestinian people.
